Ranger eats warrior
I love thinking up ranger builds that make major pain for warriors.
I mean actually challenging them in dps output.
With some builds I've been working on, I no longer need to pass by a warrior an go onto casters.
I challenge the warrior and 80% of the time beat him badly.
Of course its not skill. All the warriors call me hacker or noob.
Typical
Anyway I'm not going to post this build because I don't want it mass produced^^
It's just to encourage you ranger users that it is possible to challenge those big hulking bastards^^
gl rangers!

ermm... Warriors were never *that* hard to kill in the first place... us Rangers have sooo many skills that can render them pretty much useless... it's those annoying Mesmers and Necro's that bug me

[sarcasm] Thanks for that input [/sarcasm]
This was meant as an encouraging post to support fellow rangers who are just getting to know the proffession.
I know I had a hard time when I started because I was getting eaten alive by warriors.
But now I've worked through it and have come back to encourage other inexperienced rangers.
Way to go for completly taking things the wrong way. I wonder why I even bother.

Totally Poison Ivy. This should have been posted more in the Off Topic and Absurd section than in The Campfire. Really, if your gonna post something about finding or knowing a way to annoy warriors (or any other prof. for that matter), it would be expected to show a way to do it, or some hints, tips, anything besides, "Anyway I'm not going to post this build because I don't want it mass produced".

It was never that hard to pwn a warrior...you sit on a slightly elevated area (so that you're more likely to hit them) and use something like Pin Down or Crippling Shot (I prefer Pin Down since it lets Punishing be used). While the warrior is slow, just spam Punishing Shot/Distracting Shot/any skill that just says "interrupts target". A fun way to do this is to use R/E and pack Lightning Javelin purely to slow them down (you now have 3 skills with minor KD on them).
After that just pack RtW, Favorable, and Dual Shot. Add a res signet/troll unguent to taste (feel free to swap out Lightning Javeling for troll so you can have troll and a res signet).
Dual Shot should hit the warrior for 105+ as long as you at least have an Icy, Ebon, or Shocking bow string (a lot of warriors/characters have anti-fire armor simply because of all the Fire Ellys in pvp).

Crippling Shot, Apply Poison, normal bow attacks, dead warrior. As long as he doesn't run away. But you have crippling anyways, so why worry about him running away.

Poison and widow, instead of labeling the thread pointless why not do something about it?? Traps own warriors, if you have a softie, just lay some barbed traps around him and as soon as the warrior gets there, kite away. Oath shot is the preferable elite in random arena trapping.
